These centers develop synthetic and semi-synthetic (fermentation) products, steroids, vitamins, and complex generic drug substances (such as oligopeptides, polymers, oligonucleotides, inorganic, and metal complexes). These products are used in several therapeutic areas, from oncology to respiratory, and more.

With 70 professionals supporting the regulatory activities in all markets globally, the Regulatory Affairs department’s commitment is three-fold: to submit high-quality DMFs including all data and registration documents needed; to turn experience and data in to knowledge by analyzing regulatory trends and continuously improving the content for submissions; and to support all customers utilizing our global coverage and experience.
Our Experts
Dr. Augusto Canavesi is Head of Global API R&D. He is globally responsible for the development strategy of the new products to be included in Teva api portfolio.
He joined Teva api in 2005 as senior chemist and then took several positions increasing his responsibilities: in 2007 as head of Chemistry in Italy R&D, in 2013 as head of Italy R&D, in 2016 as head of Italy, Mexico and Czech Republic R&D and from 2018 in his current global R&D role.
Dr. Augusto Canavesi received his PhD from the University of Milan in 1996 and after a 2 year experience as a post-doc in Minneapolis at the University of Minnesota, he started his career in the industry as a process chemist. His activity has always been devoted to development of efficient and robust processes for the production of new APIs at industrial scale, mainly related to highly potent APIs (HPAPIs) from anticancer to respiratory drugs.
He is the co-author of 20 research publications and several international patent applications in the area of polymorphism and process chemistry.
BackOlga Progrebinsky has a Ph.D. degree in Organic Chemistry from Tel-Aviv University and has worked in Teva api’s regulatory affairs group for 13 years and is currently the Sr Dir Regulatory Affairs at Teva api. The Teva api global RA team is spread across 10 countries and provides regulatory support to all Teva api sites and all Teva api customers worldwide.
BackMaytal Piran is Dir Global Solid State Characterization. She leads the solid state global team of product managers and researchers, specializing in API crystal forms, particle & powder properties. Maytal joined the company in 2008, and has since held multiple roles, including: Director of Teva API Physical R&D, Israel; Manager of Particles & Powder Properties Characterization Group; and Project Manager, Physical R&D.
Maytal has a PhD in Medicine Chemistry from Bar-Ilan University, specializing in solid-state chemistry and nanotechnology.
Arina Ceausu is the Head of Analytical & Regulatory Science for Teva api, based in Israel. She has been with the organization for 25 years and has an extensive background in API analytical research. Arina has a master’s degree in organic chemical engineering.
BackLiron Shakoof is the Sr Dir Performance Analytics for the global MS&T unit. Liron has been at Teva since 2010, holding various positions in the Israel manufacturing sites of Teva’s pharma operations, including in the Supply Chain, and Quality and Planning teams.
Liron holds a BSc in Material Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and an MBA in Technology Companies Management from the College of Management.
BackNoa Anker is SVP AMSO in Teva’s Global Operations team.
Noa has held a wide range of positions in the manufacturing, engineering and quality teams during her successful Teva career. She joined Teva in 2003 as a process engineer. During this time, she served as head of quality for the former Teva api and Biologics organization; site general manager for Teva Tech, and in several other leadership roles including head of AMSO operations, production manager and quality assurance leader.
Noa holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Ben-Gurion University in Israel.
Bertil Wagensveld is Head of Global Logistics & Commercial Supply Chain at Teva api. Bertil has been at Teva since 2003, holding various positions in commercial supply chain and global logistics. Bertil holds a a degree in International Trade and Wholesalers and a BSc. in Business Management.
